January 28, 2014      I Saw The Light…      Isaiah 9:1-7
By Ronald E. George Jr. at the Fayetteville Baptist Church

Isaiah 9:1-7         Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan— 2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of deathaa light has dawned.  3            You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as men rejoice when dividing the plunder.  4 For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor. 5            Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.  6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,b Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7         Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end.  He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.  The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Light shines the brightest in the darkest.
Once a time of doom and gloom.  No hope no help no healing no future.  Only gloom and despair.  Gloom despair and agony on me.   Deep dark depression excessive misery.  If it weren’t for bad luck I have no luck at all.  OHHH… Gloom despair and agony on me.
This little light of mine… I am gonna let it shine.
Don’t hide the light underneath a basket.  But put it on a candlestick.
Have you seen the light.  Have you followed Him?
Now, you are the light.  Will you shine in the dark.
Get your batteries charged.
I saw the light.  Rejoice the light has come.  Be happy celebrate.  We can live.  We are free from bondage.  God has chosen us to serve Him and shine His light.
He has shattered the yoke.  Yoke holds us back and keeps us from being free with the Lord and His light..
He will burn and destroy the blood soaked garments and tools for war.  No more will we be worried about death.
The Child has come.
Who Turned on the LIGHT.
The One has come.
Our deliverance has come because our Deliverer has come.
The wonderful counselor has come. He will comfort and guide us through all the shadows of life.
The Mighty God has come who is able to conqueror all others.  There is no other like Him.
The Everlasting Father has come to always be with us and carry us through.
The Prince of Peace has come who gives peace to you and me, to our world and to our future.
The Lord will accomplish this.  So let it be written and so let it be done.
